Heat & AC Come On Without Touching Thermostat

Hi all,

I have had several instances where my heat or AC come on without touching the thermostat.

I just walked out to my shop and the AC was running full blast. The trailer is winterized with the cover on the trailer. The Dometic Capacitive Touch Thermostat was lit up in the AC mode. I have have the same issue with the heat starting automatically this summer.

Has anyone had the same issue of the thermostat (and AC or heat) starting on its own?

my 2014, the A/C controls are on the A/C, and the wall thermostat is mechanical and only controls the furnace. I like it like that. capacitive touch stuff has always seemed flakey to me, and I'm speaking as a recently retired computer engineer with 45 years of experience in electronics.
