That Gurin dehumidifier looks similar to the (different-branded) one I have. I had some luck opening it up and cleaning all the crud/lint out of the fins, then putting tape along the sides of the intake vent so all the incoming air is forced through the cold-side heatsink instead of going around it. It's still not particularly effective, but I'd say it started pulling about 50% more water out of the air.
Basically all the thermoelectric dehumidifiers like that one kind of suck, but the alternative is to jump to a compressor-based one that's loud and 4-5x the size.
I definitely get a lot of condensation around the bed and behind the dinette cushions when temperatures drop below 30 or so. The window frames also start to accumulate condensation when it gets really cold. I have hypervent underneath, but it doesn't extend up around the sides. I'm quite curious as to whether having some around the sides as well is helpful.
Mostly, I just wipe up the moisture once a day when it's really cold outside, and make sure to ventilate now and then to keep overall humidity down.
