Insulation

I am in the process of ordering a 19 ft Escape. Do any of you that currently own an Escape have any feedback on ordering the extra insulation.Would you do it again or do you feel that the gain in extra insulation value was only marginal. Thanks

Re: Insulation

Hi: Ronald... I can't say much as we have just the reg. single layer of insulation in "Our Escape Hatch". What I do know is the trailer stays nice and cool even in the full sun. That said the other thing I know is that extra layer would be much less $$$'s added in the build process!!!

Re: Insulation

Hi Ronald, welcome aboard.

I would say that if you are going to spend much time in extreme climates of hot or cold, it would be a good thing. I am definitely going to order it with my 19' as I do want to use it at or a bit below freezing some times. I also am forgoing the A/C at this time and it will help keep it cooler on those really hot days. I will be adding the thermal windows as well. Of all the optional features, I would say that this is the most important to me.

Re: Insulation

We have it in ours.. My answer is "why not" the cost is pretty marginal for the potential gain.. it basically doubles the insulation. We don't have anything to compare it to but, I must say that the difference between the outside temp & inside is approx. 8-10 degrees (F). That's kind-of what we have been noticing so far..
