Inverter/Transfer switch issue: no 110 power
Before contacting ETI, I thought I'd take advantage of the collective minds recuperating from the Rally at Osoyoos. I'm having problems with our Samlex power inverter, I think. I have no power to the outlets, after pushing the remote control power switch.
Everything has worked fine up until two days ago. Here's what I found so far: checked all the GFCI's, the one on the inverter itself and the other outside. Neither one are tripped. Checked all the circuit breakers in the panel. None are fried. Switched on and off any movable breaker switches: none were off.
When I power up the inverter remote, the inverter itself starts, green light glowing, and internal fan powers up. After a moment or two, there is an audible click from what I assume is the transfer switch in the metal box behind the power panel. In the past, once that click was heard, all the outlets would power up. Now, no such luck. All wires seem to be tight and connected.
Readout on the inverter remote panel reads 13.5 ±. There's no display on the output power. Reviewing the Samlex manual, my assumption was that it was a GFCI problem. However, the green LED on the inverter is glowing. I see no other GFCI I can reset.
Is there some other reset switch I'm missing? Any other troubleshooting ideas?
Thanks in advance for all your collective wisdom.
Klaus
