We have a bin loaded with stuff that we put in front of the bathroom door. It does not always stay but it works pretty well as it is on a rug with a nonslip waffle pad underneath. Our main cabinets that open on travel are the ones under the bed. We have closed big bins that may come out but no big deal.

As far as food, I pretty well try to keep anything liquid in the car cooler or at least in the crisper and maybe in a ziplock.

This works pretty good. Unseen at each end is a crossing "T" that keeps the 1x2 in place.

Why not just install a latch on the cabinet door?

I stopped once and found my "under bed" storage unit in the middle of the trailer. I only have the rear wheels on it but..... So to keep it from coming out, I lay my 1quart stainless thermos in the slot - end of problem!

If you look back at this (http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f8...ects-3999.html) thread, you'll see my under-bed storage solution. They're a couple of drawers held closed while under way by barrel latches (Cast Brass Barrel Bolts - Lee Valley Tools) that I thought were more than adequate to keep the drawers closed.

Turns out nope... A couple of times on this last trip we stopped and found the drawers open. Not necessarily even after a day of bumpy roads. Just goes to show that constant vibration, even if not severe, can move any friction fit.

I'll rethink the latches, but I'm not in any hurry to do so. Even though the drawers opened they didn't roll right out and didn't cause any further problems.
