LED lights

We had Bali Ha'i built with all LEDs inside and out. The interior lights we chose were a new fixture (miniature wedge-base LEDs). We chose a "daylight" bulb (versus warm-white/yellow) and the light was rather more blue-ish and "flourescent-y" than we liked. Reace was kind enough to send us replacements and we discovered a couple of things:
1. We like the yellowish color a lot better.
2. While the originals had a lot more emitters than the replacement (25 vs. 10), we got more usable light from the replacements. The reason appears to be in the construction of the lights:
- The original emitters were capped with a plastic lens which focused the light downward
- The replacements did not have the lens and spread the light in a 120 degree cone...lighting more of the area beneath the fixture.

While there are enormous differences between emitter types, I think the increased lighting is based upon the unfocused nature of the yellowish replacements.
