Level Storage

Since I have a slanted driveway, I have to elevated the front end. I have to add additional blocks under the jack to make it level. This is because, I was told, for the refrigerator. I checked with Dometic, but it their answer did not make sense. If there is a possibility the refrigerant will coagulate, why won't it happen regardless of position? I found a link : RV refrigerators - Dometic and Norcold refrigerators and called. According to Mr. Crane, the refrigerator needs to be level when operating, not in storage. He says he makes as well as repairs them. Has nayone dealt with this issue? I would like to not have to deal with blocking up the front end, as it make hitching up tricky.

I think Mr. Crane gave you the correct information.
I make mine level because I run the fridge for a day or so prior to a trip.

They are designed to be gravity systems & as such need to be level when running. It's in the design of the plumbing (look at the rear of the fridge). If they are not running, then they are ok to be on a slope.

Thanks so much. That will solve a big hook-up problem for me.
