Low pressure quick connect
I remember there was a discussion about this, but I don't think it addressed my problem.
I have an O grill I am trying to connect to my low pressure quick connect. I took the regulator off of the grill and cannot find the fitting that will connect the stove directly to the hose, Been to several propane and grill dealers and none of them can help. I am attaching a picture and hope one of you will have already solved this.

Hi Dick the fitting you need is a ferrule to flare fitting I believe. Or can you cut the ferrule off and flare the end of the tube?

Folks at Escape gave me a quick connect fitting when we picked up our 19'. I took it down to a local propane shop and they set me up with a hose and fittings to attach to my BBQ.

Dick, what does the tube from the BBQ lead too. Can this tube be replaced?
Though no expert, I have never seen a ferrule used with gas lines, they usually have flared ends on a metal tube. That said, it is real easy to cut that ferrule off and put on a flared fitting put on. A flairing tool is quite cheap, or any lots of shops that handle propane could do it for you.
You don't have your location in your user info. I know here in Calgary (and other places in Canada and the US) I just go to Fairview Fairview Fittings. I know after buying my Spitfire 180 and just the low pressure control from Dickinson, I went there to buy all the fittings I needed, and got great help. They have pretty much any gas fitting you would every need. LINK

Here it is. The propane dealers were not sure if aluminum could be flaired. The video is good but he does not describe what the connections are inside the regulator housing.

You could have him make another one like that but copper with one end flared.

It shows photos of the connection to the BBQ. It looks like he changed out the fitting that your hose connects to.

I popped apart the O-Grill and snapped some pix of the gas connectors for you. I updated the post with them as well. Hope they help. I had it done by a pro LP gas tech who had a shop based in the RV Park I was at. It's worked great for me.

Ray, thanks for posting and showing clearly what you did. It looks like your guy found a connector that attached to ferule, something quite common in water connections.

Your welcome, ya the guy had quite the propane supply shop, I had him change out my cheap OEM propane regulator and pig tails with quality Marshall stuff. He was able to do a custom 15ft hose with quick connects for me for the grill as well.
He was located on the property of Enchanted Trails Camping Resort just west of Albuquerque on I 40 if anyone is interested.
