Making the bed was an activity on par with my Functional Fitness class. Once I had wrestled with all four corners of the bottom sheet, they still popped off. Then an inventive friend sewed a channel around the four sides of the "fitted" bottom sheet, I inserted the elastic stretch cord, topped off with a grommet closure. The result: no more pop offs. Once I have the 4 corners on (I do the two bottom or two top ones first), I pull on the grommet, and the stretch cord tightens. Result: sheet stays tight at night.

neat idea, I know there are 2 sizes of "queen" sheets floating around, one is the residential and one is the rv size which is smaller and harder to install.

My temp trailer has a short queen, and it certainly is a pain to keep the fitted sheet on (and my feet covered).

In our 19, using a fitted sheet we never had a problem with it coming off.

"RV Queen" means not really queen: it's the same width as a real queen (60"), but shorter... typically only 75" (like a single/twin or double/full) rather than the 80" of a real queen.

With a bigger bed at home, we use sheets in the Escape that will fit it, so no problem getting them on. Makes it so much easier!!

A very fancy fitted sheet. The RV Superbag is rolled up against the back wall. We just roll it over the bed to get in and roll it back up in the morning. Yeah I know that's cheating but it makes to bed issues so much easier. With a king size bag it works great and we don't zip up the sides. We have been using one for about 6 years.

Based on the experience of Tom and Cheryl, we went for the RV Superbag. In our first year of owning our Escape 19 we have slept 120 nights using the Superbag. No regrets whatsoever!

Second season for us and our Travasak, I "made" one for the small bed at the front of the trailer with a nice lightweight sleeping bag---I bought the single sheet at Camping World and hand sewed velcro strips on the sleeping bag....

The sleeping bags that have liners aren't as nice as the Travasak sheet..

We have queen sized one for the big bed at the back and the single for the front..
Both get folded up and put in the storage cubbies every day.

Gives us beds at each end and tables too--- (or a couch) at the front...

Made our 17B MUCH more user friendly....

Hello everyone, it's been awhile! Ike and I have really enjoyed our 19' this past year (need to update avatar from Casita, tho). As to the queen sheets challenge: Like other owners, we opted to add a memory foam topper (3") to our mattress in the Escape. Helps w/ back issues and we make the topper up as if it were the actual mattress. I put a fitted flannel sheet on the trailer mattress, then a queen mattress pad, sheets, and covers on the foam topper. Changing sheets and making the bed only involves maneuvering the topper. This system works for us, but the sheets-in-a-sack are a fantastic idea.

I think I solved the bed making issue this spring when I decided it is a two person job. Terry holds on to one corner while I stretch the other corner. Why didn't I think of this before?
