Maxx Fan Problem
We picked up our 2015 21' last September and for some unknown reason the Maxx Fan has stopped working. (We have the model without the remote.) Pressing the buttons causes nothing to happen....no lights, no beeps. It appears that it isn't getting any power. Any ideas? Has anyone tried disconnecting the power as a reset? If so, how did you do it and did it work? Thanks for any assistance:-)

There is a good chance that the thermostat ( temp knob ) has been set to a temp where it's not likely to allow the fan to run.
Suggest you start from scratch. Read the instruction manual.
Then after setting the fan to 'In' or 'Out' and the speed to 'Low', adjust the thermostat to fully low, or high, and allow it time to work. If nothing happens, adjust it a bit more.
It's likely that the thermostat is set too high or too low and, sensing the ambient temperature, it doesn't switch on the fan.

The newer fans don't have a temp "knob" they are all digital. If the temp switch is being used it has an orange light that stays on. If it is not on the temp switch is not the problem. Also, turning the power off and back on cancels the temp control. I'd be more inclined to check two connections. One you get to by removing the screen and then possibly the blade and finding the plug to the motor just above one of the cross bars. The other is the main power. Remove the trim and in the space around the fan you will find where the wiring has been connected with two butt connectors. Possible that they were not crimped enough and have worked loose. These are just two quick checks for loss of power. After this a quick call to Maxxair would be in order.

I always like to start with the simple (cheap) stuff, the 12V fuse (for the circuit the Maxx Fan is on) could be blown.
I had a few expensive life lessons on this in my younger days with jumping to the conclusion that I knew exactly what was wrong during an auto repair, only to find out the actual problem was something much simpler - and much cheaper. For some reason my old man usually thought it was all quite funny.....

I too would first check the fuse. I would then check for 12V at the fan and the connection there is good. These simple checks can be done in less than 5 minutes. If they both check out, then it is something with the fan itself.
If disconnecting and reconnecting does not do the trick, I would contact Escape to see what steps to do. There is always great advice here, but seeing you are still under warranty I would exersize that option first.

When I called ETI about a noise issue with my fan while it was under warranty, they simply referred me to the manufacturer. I contacted Eric at ejb@airxcel.com. Eric responded quickly and was very helpful. I also called on another occasion when the fan would not start and Eric resolved the problem over the phone. Their general technical support phone number is 316-832-4357.
