Maxxair fan height

My wife and I have a 5.0TA on order. In the trailer we have now we just reach up and turn our fan off or on. In the 5.0 the fan is farther away. We would like to avoid a remote but don't know if we can reach the fan to turn it on or off. We are both 5' 7" tall. Can anyone with a 5.0TA measure the distance from the floor to the fan or offer an opinion on a 5'7" persons ability to reach the fan?

The remote and smoke lens are both nice touches in my opinion. You do not have to get out of bed to operate the fan.

The buttons on the fan are easily reached by standing on the step going up to the bed. Even though we got the upgrade with the remote, I often turn it on or off that way.

No, but I do. Jim's right, nice touches for the fan. But, I'm just the cheapo user with the standard and step up on the bottom step to turn the fan on/off or change speeds. I'm 5'7" (and strinking) if you care. I could probably tippy toe to reach the controls, but why? The step is RIGHT THERE.

I recognize that you have not been that active here and thus may not know that a lot of Escape's features are not model specific, they work the same in all the models, thus my answer. A short person can use the remote for operation, no remote then another approach is needed. Plus I have been in the 5.0 and the 5.0 TA and I'm aware of the height.
