MaxxAir vent fan blade.

Has anyone removed the fan blade? According to the manufacturer, one is supposed to apply "303 Protectant" to the rubber gasket to keep it pliable.
I purchased a bottle of the stuff based upon several member's comments and this stuff is great. I have applied it to my entire outside, the roof, all the window trim, the a/c shroud, the plastic vents and the MaxxAir cover. This stuff is great and now I'm working inside. Thanks
