Seems like every Goodwill I go into has a ton of microwave plates. Maybe take both halves and check there for a cheap replacement?

Second Donna. See them there all the time.
One would think you'd see micros without the plates at Goodwill and not the other way around. Go figure.

Now that's a good idea! I always wondered where I'd get another plate for a microwave oven if I broke it (or, ahem, left it at home). Thanks, Donna!

Doesn't help you any but when I had to replace mine from the manufacturer, pre Escape, the replacement plate cost as much as a new microwave.

You'll need something with you to compare, even a small chunk. The divot on the bottom where the rollers run is different by manufacturer or plate size.

When I accidentally left my microwave plate at home during my last trip, I put a couple of paper plates directly on the rollers. It worked okay, but I kept an eye on it when the microwave was on.

In the old days they didn't go round n round so you could probably just remove the rollers and adjust the position once in a bit. Go retro!

Ha, ha, that is what I was thinking. I take it the microwaves went bad so they took the plates out!
