My wish list....

There is only one thing I wished was available for our Escapes. A vent cover for the ceiling vent in the bath area to allow it to remain open. Has anyone run across one for that small vent? Thanks

Re: My wish list....

Yes, I'm sorry, I should have been more specific, the little vent in the bath area. Wondering if a rain cover is available? I'll correct my initial question.

Re: My wish list....

I don't understand the question. If it rains can't you just close it? After using the shower it airs out fast with the door open.

Re: My wish list....

Jim is that vent in the bathroom not a standard size rv vent? I am trying to remember from the trailer that i looked at before we ordered ours and i seem to remember that it was a odd size. It would be really nice to have a cover like the max vent on it so it could be left open lots of the time.

Re: My wish list....

I have not seen a cover that would fit the 9 inch vent. MaxAir makes one for a 14x14 vent. Maybe you should ask Reace.

Re: My wish list....

It appears to be like 6x6 vent, which if left open in the rain, all the water would just go down the drain. Anyway, just a thought.

Re: My wish list....

I will ask next Friday when we pick up our trailer who makes the smaller vent and if there is some sort of cover available.

Re: My wish list....

What is the difference between the ceiling vent in the 17 & 19 v/s the 5.0 (besides the obvious that the 5.0 has a power ceiling fan in the bathroom.) Would it make any sense to have an upgrade to the power fan? Would that take care of the cover issue?

Re: My wish list....

The 17/19 have a small 6x6 static non powered vent. The 5.0 has a round powered vent. The issue is leaving these open in the rain, being in the bathroom I guess does not hurt. I like the MaxxFan being open in the rain and was wondering if there is a smaller vent cover for the bathroom vents.

Re: My wish list....

I've tried to find a cover for that also. No joy! It would be good to be able to leave it open in the rain for air circulation.

Re: My wish list....

I found something close in cargo van vent covers, but I think, it being in bath, a little water all not hurt anything.

Unless you're in there taking care of business.

Re: My wish list....

A little OT, but I asked Tammy when I got the tour a week ago about adding a Maxx fan to the bathroom. She indicated that the curve of the roof was a limiting factor.

Didn't ask about a rain cover.

Re: My wish list....

A trick I use to ventilate the wash room from moisture after a shower and odors is to put the Max-Fan on med/low reverse and the air goes out the wash room vent with ease. I also have been looking for a cover for the bath vent but no luck. Thinking I may make my own out of some light plexiglass it will let the light come through.
