Need quick step cover
I forgot about needing a step cover that was safe for the dogs and am leaving Thursday morning for Maryhill. Any suggestions for a quick way to make something? I remember that the first trip I just put a towel on the steps so that's an alternative if I don't figure something out. Too late to buy anything that isn't found at the local hardware store.
Oh, and as an aside- has the appearance of the site changed for everyone or is it just me? Edit- figured that out, somehow it had switched me to a mobile site. (I'm not on a mobile device unless you count a laptop as mobile.)

Most RV supply stores carry a wrap around astroturf-like cover that attaches with two springy hooks. Less than $15. Escape sells it too.

A towel and duct tape would get you through a weekend. Especially since it sounds like it's supposed to be dry.

So far happy with this one that I happened upon in a Wally World.
Might be more puppy friendly than astroturf?

Oh, duct tape is a good idea. I have some scraps of various things but hadn't thought about duct tape to attach them. Something more heavy duty than a towel, maybe, but that's an option. I will see what I can find tomorrow. And while I am at it I'll pack the duct tape.

Something that they cannot possibly catch their nails in.

Yes. One of mine ripped a nail off this winter- I think on the fence- and that was a mess.

I just cut you a piece of carpet you can use unless you find something better.
See you tomorrow....
(Tashi won't go near the step until I put the cover on it)
