New awning cover holes

I noticed that there are two holes in the back of the new awning cover. The forward one has the electric connection going through. I also noticed that I had wasp nests at each end of my awning when I deployed it this weekend.

Has anyone plugged these holes and what did they use?

After cleaning and waxing yesterday, I went ahead and cut two pieces of plastic slightly larger than the holes and siliconed them on.

On top of trailer between the awning cover and the trailer itself. There is one at the front with the wire running through it and one at the back. Picture is one in the front

More of a gap behind the cover, so duct tape can seal it, sigh unseen. I'll have to check on the new one and inquire about sealing the opening at orientation, my list is getting longer.....

Yesterday, I noticed a wasp buzzing around my screen door. Hope they aren’t nesting in the awning endcaps. Better get em plugged. I hate wasps in my end caps!
