New Guy here from Massachusetts. Any Escape owners in this neck of the wood?

Hi Gang,
I am a newbie here. Here is my story if you are interested. I have been camping for along time and had tent campers, travel trailer and park model. Right now I don't have a towable camper. I was very interested in a Truck Camper...A northern lite was the camper brand I wanted because of the fiberglass construction. I have dealt with all the leak issues that stick built campers have and I don't want anymore part of it. Anyhow after some discussion with my bride of 27 years her feeling is that a truck camper is going to not suit her needs (not enough room). She likes the idea of a 5th wheel. Well I don't want a monstrosity!!! I am a backcountry camper guy that loves tents. Forest Service, BLM and remote camping is my style. Not so much my bride. In a comfy camper though she will follow me anywhere...I love her...she can be a trooper. So when I punched up SMALL 5TH WHEEL to my amazement there was this cool FIBERGLASS 5th wheel builder. I am pshyced!!!
I have been scouring this site reading all the info you folks have posted. Hmmmmmm, not to many bad things to say about this brand is there? I like that. Also you have a nice little community going here.
That's my story in a nutshell. I really like the 5.0 and would love to see one. Any in Massachusetts or the New England area?
Also...yeah I know I said I didn't want a monstrosity but I did read that some of you like the idea of a dual axle 5.0. I think just a little bit bigger would be nice if it was something that was to be built. Any ideas on that?

Thanks much folks,
Mark

Hi Mark, welcome to the site. I would contact Tammy at Escape Trailers, as she is the one that knows all the locations of units they sold. There are a few spread out in the Eastern states, not sure which would be closest to you though.

Like you, I love the backcountry, and still do some canoeing, hiking and skiing. I also like the minimalistic size of the Escape trailers compared to some of the huge units out there, thus my choice.

Hi: Northeaster... We will be travelling thru NY. VT. NH.& Maine during the last two weeks of Aug, on our way to the Canadian maritime Provinces. I don't know what part of Mass. you're in but send me a personal message on the forum to see if we can connect.
You never know...we could take a wrong turn due to a malfunction of my GPS (Generally Pleasant Spouse).
I still like the single axle 5.0 as it elicits only a little cha-ching at the toll booth$ Alf
