Thanks everyone. I like the idea of using craft acrylic paint just to put something on the screen that is not too time consuming like sewing thread through it. Next time at at Micheals....

We kept the pattern to simple geometrics and only painted on the outside. The image cannot be seen on the inside so doesn't interfere with the view through the door. If you need a reminder on the inside, just reverse the stencil and paint on the inside as well. We used a bright white craft acrylic and it really shows up well on the black. We don't have dogs so I don't know how you tell them to look for the warning on the screen

Hmmm....good point about the dog warning. tucker was so determined to get out, I doubt a stencil would mean much. I'm rethinking the camping with a big dog scenario once I get the screen fixed. The next trip is for 10 days and I think I'd be happier with him at doggy camp.

Not to mention that somebody has to stay with the dog since you can't leave it in the camper or in the tow vehicle ( because of the heat ) so you get no romantic lunches out and only one of you gets to tour the museum or gallery. Not a problem fishing some remote lake, but the rest of the time ...

Screen Mesh Replacement

I have a question for those who have had to replace the mesh screens on their 21 classic.

The instructions for the Seiki replacement screen calls for removal of the top rail by taking out the screws. However there are no screws on the top rail since there is just a thin strip of plastic above it. Does the top rail just come down after you remove the side rail?

Thanks!
