Outdoor Kitchen

Has anyone used the Cabelas Deluxe Outdoor Kitchen? Looks interesting to us since we like to cook outdoors. Pics of anyones outdoor kitchens would be appreciated! Love this forum!!!!

Rob, we too mostly cook outdoors unless weather is really bad. While some of these kitchens have a lot included, but they tend to be big and hard to store while under way. They also tend to be overly complicated. We now travel with two small tables. One is usually set up as a prep and washing table, the other for eating and the stove. We just use the BBQ on the ground.

My camp kitchen doesn't come in a box. It's flexible and changes with demands.

I have a quality two burner Napoleon BBQ so I can cook direct or indirect. It's connected to a 10lb. propane tank. I have two single burner butane stoves. I have a stainless steel basin that I can place on a butane stove to heat the water ( my wife prefers a plastic one, but it didn't last long on the stove ).
I usually have a 5 gallon fresh water container on the picnic table for convenience. I also have a folding aluminum table and a Coleman oven that I use infrequently.
And, of course, beef.

I use the roll up dining table for our cook station.

Holds both the camp chef stove and Weber BBQ hooked to the QConnect.
Rolls up and goes right in the 19 hatch across the mystery space in the back.
Jon, sold me on these roll up tables at Quartzsite a few years ago and they are awesome.

I've been especially happy with our GCI Outdoor Slim-Fold Camp Kitchen Portable Folding Cook Station. Very well engineered. Setup and reverse is super simple and it easily fits through exterior access hatch under the bed.

I have a heavy duty camp kitchen that weighs in the neighborhood of 75 lbs. it holds a lot of stuff and is better as a storage box which is how I use it in the shop because it’s too heavy to be practical to transport and carry. My point is “think the contents through when you’re loading up because it’s easy to cram too much in a kitchen box.” I haven’t used mine since I got the Escape and went to an SUV from a pickup. Like a high percentage of Americans, I have too much stuff. I wish I could find a rally seminar called “ don’t haul it if you don’t need it”. And get a few pointers.

My outdoor kitchen is fairly simple. An Aluminum roll up table & a Coleman Grill/Stove. Of course I moved from a 17 to the 21 so I could have an oven, so I sometimes cook inside...
