We love our electric awning but are frustrated by the LED light strip as well. I've changed the type 27 battery in the separate remote (not integrated with the awning control) but cannot get the light to work consistently. It doesn't matter what the setting is for the inside awning switch or the inside switch for the porch light. The control will flash a red led light when I hit the on/off switch. But sometimes when we open the awning, or just notice at night with it closed the led strip is on. Frustrating. The battery contacts are perfectly clean.
