Oven Stone

I'm not sure if all the ovens that ETI installs are the same model in all the trailers, but I have a question for those of you who do have an oven installed and use it. What size oven stone do you use and, if you recall, where did you get it? I know you need space around the stone, but not how much space.

We're picking our 21' up on April 5 and we really would like to make the best use of our oven as we leisurely travel back to Portland along the coast.

I would also like to know about backing sheets... What size fits and what doesn't? Would a 12 cupcake pan fit? Is it tall enough for a bundt cake pan? wide enough for a 9x 11?

Summary: Atwood says you can use cookware up to 14 inches wide and 12 inches deep (front-to-back).

Gary - check out the Camp Chef website as they have a baking stone that fits in their portable oven and I think it fits in the Escape oven.

Another option, and one I use for the BBQ, is to cut a Travertine tile to fit. This can be done easily with an angle grinder, or just get the tile store to cut it to the size you desire. I plan to do this for our Dickinson oven.

Even with a purchased baking stone, if it is too large, it can be cut down to a custom fit.

I purchased a set of toaster oven bakeware, fit perfectly in the oven in my 21. Also some room for storage, that said I doubt any conventional bundt pan will fit unless made for small oven. It is not large by any means and needs to be lighted manually, I never used it, once. Used the stove top more and cooked mainly outside.

I use the oven a lot. I tried a stone (California Pizza Stone has lots of sizes and will make you a custom size). I wasn't that happy with the stone so I tried airbake pans https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/sto...set/1016794090
I use the cookie sheets either by themselves or under any of my regular pans and they work perfectly. I also have the airbake casserole pan (don't need a cookie sheet under it because it's already insulated). Love the oven, especially when we are boondocking.

Kathie, based on the dimensions that others have used, it seems like the AirBake 9" L x 14" W sheet would be the one that works the best? And when you talk about your regular pans does that include bread pans?

I got the 3 piece set at BBB and 2 fit in the oven. I use the 9x14 and the 12x14. I also bought the 9x13 cake pan. Yes to the bread pans (also cake pans like a 9 in square or round). I set them on one of the Air Bake cookie sheets - no burning on the bottom.

My experience is the oven is slow to heat up (so allow a little extra time) but once it reaches temp it stays very hot.

I measured our oven (new 19 ft). from top of oven to fixed rack is 6 3/4 and seems to be 15 1/2 inches wide. I forgot to measure depth.
