So the long and short of this is that it *was* a loose connection on that one terminal; that particular wire and breaker goes to the roof solar; the breaker was fried and must be replaced; Reace came through both diagnostically and with several good and fair options for fixing it; and he added that he will have words with the QC team, who are supposed to physically touch every connection to make sure they’re tight.
I continue to be a happy and proud Escape customer.
Thanks to all for your help here as well!
Cheers,
Scott
Great!
Rease is probably going to have more than a few discussions with QC over wiring issues but I'm sure he will take care of it.
Oh, and Vermilye wins the "what is this breaker contest"!

Normal people believe that if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Engineers believe in fixing it so that it never breaks.
When making critical wire terminations on the job we used the two man method
The first man landed the wires and tightened the termination
The second man rechecked the terminations and then marked them with a magic marker as a visible indication that the termination was tight and correct
The cost of double checking is far cheaper than the damage caused by a loose termination or losing a pis_ed off customer or starting a fire .
Oh, and one other note, Reace did confirm that the wiring arrangement is correct for my rig as configured.
Put it all back together this morning with new breaker and short wire - made sure everything is snug - and the solar is now busy shoving juice into the batteries. [emoji847]
