Propane Quick connect and new barbeque search
Hi Everyone: We love our new 2018 Escape 21'. Quick question. We have the quick connect on the side of the trailer to hook up propane from tanks on the trailer. Can anyone suggest a barbeque that works well with this system? I have done a bit of reading and learning that the barbeque should NOT have a regulator on it since the regulator is at the trailer tanks. Also, is there such a barbeque or fitting to add, if in the event that I wanted to use the screw-on type small canister propane tanks? Maybe there is a barbeque designed for both. My thought on this is what if my propane line is too short to reach my kitchen tent ?
Thanks Lee B

The one in the video is a Weber Q, I use the Q1000. I didn't buy the kit but found the parts individually at the hardware store. There are other videos on the subject.

We use a Q1000 too. The parts that came with the quick connect hose from Escape were all we needed, no extra part necessary. I am thinking of getting an extension hose as some times the picnic table is just too far away.

it looks like it is two brass fittings that connect together then connect to the hose on one side and the barbecue on the other side

We love our Weber Q1000 and I have made up extension hoses so I can have a propane appliance 30’ from the trailer. I also bought this so I would be able to hook it up to a tank.

Propane Quick connect and new barbeque search
Forgot to mention I bought one of these, you connect the female to the propane hose and the male to the Weber Q once you remove its regulator.

We use the Weber Q2200 and love it! The 2200 has a little more power for melting cheese on nachos and for pizza and such. We added the griddle on one side for pancakes and sausage. Also put a female disconnect on the original regulator so we can put that back on if we wanted to use the small tanks. We have two 10’ hoses and can put them together if we need more distance. Also bought an Outland Firebowl fire pit - very easy to replace the original hose with regulator at the end with a plain hose without the regulator. So no expensive local firewood and we can have a fire in some campgrounds where open fires are not allowed.

Lots of input here and other threads on a BBQ to use, so I will just address this concern. I carry 3 hoses, one 12', one 10', and one 3'. I also have a Tee. With these options I can easily set up one or two appliances at various distances. I have never hit a situation yet where I did not have enough hose length, even with the firepit. 25' is quite a long distance, further than any of our trailers.
