We use the same setup Jim. Only issue we've ever had was when we were headed out this past week. The lock on the hitch wouldn't open and we had to cut it off with bolt cutters. Visited the local auto store, bought new locks and off we went.

Locks on the coupler are commonly used and come in many brands. My husband wanted ones with round keys so that is what we have. Part of the lock goes up into the coupler. Don't know that it would keep anyone away if they fooled with it but at least it looks like something is there!

Fiberglass RV had a thread on it.

How many forum members are using these locks? Are the wheel locks a pain or too heavy to drag along while travelling? I get that nothing will stop a determined thief but I hate the idea of coming back to the campground only to see an empty campsite.

PS. Here it is March and boy and am I getting excited about the upcoming camping season. Here in the lower mainland we are having great weather. I'm getting ready for March 15 when the Provincial campground reservation system opens.

Trust me...if they want it bad enough they are going to get it!

Opportunistic thefts are just that...don't tempt. If you value something that is not replaceable...either secure it or take it with you.

Locks etc will slow them down...

Don't let the what ifs....interfere with your love of exploring the sights.

There is nothing different from a burglary to your stick house!
