Looks good!
Myron, do you have a cap to keep water and dirt out when it is not in use? I assume it will be under the propane tank cover, as well.

A cap didn't come with that quick-connect but now that you mention it I'll use the one that came with the hose. Good idea.

...well now;;;-- back to the drawing board== *%$@?™*-just put the shroud back. Cannot access the quick connect with shroud in place.

Good primer on the parts involved. It's sort of on my list, just have to get around to doing it. I looked at the tank cover as a relatively cheap item when I was mounting my solar panel mast. I simply cut it to make it fit. If some future owner doesn't want that mod then it's an easy to replace item.

So, as I see it, you've got 2 options. Cut an access opening and make a little cover plate or buy one of those round twist and lock ones used on boats. Or, use a long nipple, turn the fitting more vertical, and access it from the valve hatch above.

Thanks, Ron. I like the long nipple idea.

Myron, does the nipple clear the tank clamp wingnut?

I had to use pliers to bend the tank wingnut in just a little bit.
