Quick Connect to Propane

We have 2013 Escape and had the quick connect propane valve installed. We thought it would then allow us to cook outside using a portable propane BBQ but we are having not luck finding the right connectors. We purchased the hose from Escape thinking that would allow us to hook to our Coleman stove but not luck either. Seeking advice and recommendations for bbq to use with the quick connect.

The propane supplied by your quick connect is "low pressure". The regulators on your BBQ and propane stove require high pressure.
So, the regulators on the appliances you want to use need to be replaced with the appropriate device.
Here is an example from Dickinson. I'm sure you can get the fix way cheaper and those that have done it will help you better than I.
I prefer to carry and use a 10 lb. propane tank dedicated to my BBQ so that I can put it wherever I want to, or use it at home to supplement my full size Q.

Like baglo said, you need the appliance you want to connect to the low pressure quick connector to not be regulated itself, otherwise you end up with two pressure regulators in sequence, and very poor output due to the pressure loss.

Camp Chef is one brand that offers a low pressure stove. A search a while ago showed lots of hits for a couple brands of low pressure stove in Australia, but I am sure shipping would kill you.

There is a lot more choice for BBQs though, as many of the better ones (often marine quality) have removable regulators, like the Dickinson ones.

Here is a review I did on the Dickinson Marine Spitfire 180, and my route to choosing it.
