Elizabeth and Dan,

The stock LED in the "older" fixtures that you posted a photo of is about 5500 Kelvin or daylight white -- at least ours are. Diamond Group also makes the same bulb in "WW" or warm white -- about 3500 Kelvin. Might tone it down a bit. They're not expensive.

Oh, that's good to know (though the bulbs I bought and returned were only $2-3 a piece...)

Thanks, I might try one of these.

Yes, they are available, but I never got a PM yet.

Just to show how prices have dropped, I bought these in 2012 for $15, and they are now under $5.

For what it's worth, these would NOT fit in our fixtures ... FYI. Thx for posting ...

Yeah, there are quite a few manufacturers who describe their bulb types as "mini wedge", but that doesn't always mean they'll fit the socket. In the case of the Diamond Group light fixtures, the socket is "sort of" a mini wedge -- but only takes a bulb with a flat "card type" terminal. I suppose it's considered a mini wedge because the two contacts are the same distance apart as other mini wedge bulbs, but most of those won't fit because of the thicker center portion between the contacts.

The ones I listed worked great in my '09 19, which used the mini wedge bulb.

It looks like I have the older LED fixture (Bargman?) that's pictured. Given that, do I have any choice as far as replacements? They're all working now, I just wanted to experiment with different light temps -- though if they're going to be difficult or extremely expensive to replace when I really need to that'd be good to know.

if you feel handy with a soldering iron this led is "warmer"

Those are what our 2010 17 uses too.

I think the reading lights I just put in with Eric's help mark my high water point -- no soldering for me

I have not heard anything yet from anyone wanting the 6 mini-wedge LED's I want to give away. Heck, I will even pay the snail mail. PM me if you want them, I just want to see them get used.
