They have not built an airplane yet that can carry the weight of the schematics/blueprints that were used to design and build it. Also I recall "black" becomes "red" in some wiring scenarios.

Hi: cpaharley2008... I think that happens on switch legs, where a red may actually be black. Its just too hard to recall my high school electricity classes. Alf

When running a 2 wire cable from a light fixture. to a switch the wiring color code is reversed
IE The white in a 14/2 NM (Romex) becomes the hot and the black is the switch leg.
This enables you to have a black and a white to connect to the light fixture and maintain proper polarity on the screw shell of the fixture. Normally in a 14/3 NM the red conductor is used as a switch leg or traveler. The recent code change requires that when the white conductor is used for something other than a neutral it must be marked along its visible length to indicate it is not a neutral (taped .paint ,permanent marker).

I agree it would be good to have a useful schematic - I just don't see Scamp as an example of a manufacturer supplying one. I didn't have one for my Boler, either; I created it for the parts of the 12V DC system that were particularly relevant as I sorted out wiring.

It would be painful to pay an RV service tech to trace out the electrical system in the case of a problem (or a modification), instead of reading from a drawing.

At any rate it looks like you've got it figured out. Let us know how the test goes.

So the answer from Reace today was, " Someone was sleeping on the job when he did that". So the wires are crossed and when I reversed them all was well.

As for it working before ..... still can't figure that one out.

I didn't think it was the fan that was defective because reverse rotation is the hallmark of reverse polarity. Still a strange situation though.

Good trouble shooting and as the saying goes; alls well that ends well.
