I doubt if Ellen can get back on the forum tonight as she doesn't have wi-fi unless she leaves the campground. I e-mailed her with an offer to help but she said that the campground host was helping her to move to a clearer site (although Camano is mostly a "treed" campground) and that he was going to loan her a ladder to clean fir needles off her panel. I also suggested that maybe the host/ranger would let her pull up next to a restroom and plug into the 110V there for a bit as the campground is sparsely occupied at this time of year. She has my phone number but haven't heard from her since this morning (via e-mail) so assume she is doing okay.

I've never had my refer higher than 3. Is that unusual?

No, Bob's not my uncle. I'd be proud to have him for an uncle. Have you read his blog "The RV Battery Charging Puzzle"? He really knows solar charging systems. I just quote him and sound smart. An amazing resource.

Just heard from Ellen via e-mail and she's doing okay having moved to a more open site; her batteries are back up to a more normal range.

Is Ellen's fridge up and running fine?

BTW, great of you to check on her like that.

If your batterues get below a certain voltage, the fridge may not run even if on propane. The fridge may require a min voltage to operate the electric controls even when on propane. Check the manual. Also if it is a samlex controller then the voltage you see is the battery voltage.
