reinforced wall thickness 21' bath/bed

We need to know what the thickness is on our bed/bath reinforced wall. How long can screws be so as not to go through to the bed side? Or has anyone used bolts so they went through, then how long were the bolts? Thank you.

From what I've observed, opening up areas in my trailer etc. the framing in the walls is 3/4" thick with a thin layer of plywood etc. over it. So, just guessing, but if you used a screw that stuck out of the fixture you were attaching more than 1" it would probably be starting to protrude on the other side.

I often put a screw in a fixture that I'm attaching and measure how much "sticks out".

You are forgetting the thickness of the item you are hanging, I installed several teak towel bars with 1" screws that came with the towel bars, the screws did not go all the way thru the wall because the towel bar where the screw was located had some thickness. As Ron mentioned, the wall is minimum 3/4+" thickness.

I found a way to locate studs in the bath walls, use a handheld stud finder on the bath side of the wall. Transfer the location to the opposite side of the wall with a level and tape measure. Works like a champ.

Does that mean that the plywood is only on the bed side of the studs? I guess it means having to go through a stud to do anything heavy on the bath side or the other anyway. So there is 3/4" of air there most places until hitting plywood going in from bath side.

I think the plywood is on the bath side as it felt solid, but then again so did the bed side

I doubt very much that it will. Though the bath moulds will have to change with the new shell moulds, I would bet the construction of the walls is the same still, though Escape is often making advances to their trailers.

What is the concern with wall thickness?

does that mean the exterior curvature or x,y,z of the 2017 shells has changed significantly enough to affect the interior shape of the current moulded bathroom?
thought 2017 was minor tweaks, but then again the leaked 2017 frame-less windows may not be a minor mould tweak.

Not fully certain what all will happen, but going by this post I can only assume. I am eagerly awaiting release of all the details. Guessing is fun though, eh?

What I do know, is that Escape is still working on what any changes will be made. Once they have it all together, all will be revealed. Only they can do this.
