Removing table/ Ext graphics

Can anyone tell us how to get the table top completely off and the legs out? We want to have some electrical work done and it is in the way.
Also, what is the switch below the table on the driver's side?

Has anyone added or changed the exterior graphics? Do you know what was used to remove graphics? One place I was talking to uses a blow torch. We don't want a blow torch near our Escape.

Re: Removing table/ Ext graphics

The table top should just lift out, it might be a bit stuck. We have our battery disconnect switch on the passenger side, but our batteries are under that bench.

Not certain on the graphics removal, but if you are getting new ones put on, they could likely remove the existing. I know it is done with fleet vehicles all the time.

Thank you, Jim. That must be our battery disconnect.

Our table top has slider hardware. Does yours slide? I figure there is some way to uncatch it. Can't tell with it on if the legs might twist out maybe or what.

Hi: Floating Cloud...Those legs are very tight. You must pull and wiggle and #$%^& to get them out of the floor and also out of the bottom of the table. They do loosen with use and age...but not much!!!
Yep it's probably your battery kill switch. Shut it off with the lights on and you'll find out!!! Alf

#$%^&. Will do, escape artist, thank you. We are supposed to have two uses for everything in the trailer. Maybe those legs need a little hitch grease! Or olive oil. (Have olive oil in a little bottle in the refrigerator crisper when traveling with fridge off, Baglo.)

A blow torch, OMG! On FiberglassRV, this has been used successfully by several owners to remove really old, baked on graphics. So I think, it should work equally as well on fairly new ones: http://www.amazon.com/Stripe-Off-Wheel-07498-Hardware/dp/B00063VT0G?tag=5336612486-20

Donna and gocamp, they beat the heck out of a blow torch! The wheel looks interesting. Supposed to be like a big rubber eraser.

Re: Removing table/ Ext graphics

We used a hair dryer on the graphics on our Casita. They pulled off without any trouble.

I use a heat gun (essentially a blow-drier on steroids) to soften the adhesive and then just peel them off. Goo-Gone works to remove any residue that may remain. The fresher the decals, the easier they come off.

Have to ask.
Why do you want to remove the graphics and what will you replace them with, if anything?

Re: Removing table/ Ext graphics

I also removed a bit of the graphics - they just peeled straight off!
I wanted to add some of my own - hopefully they won't peel off so easily!

Re: Removing table/ Ext graphics

If they peel straight off, that would be great. I do actually have a heat gun around I think, not to mention a few hairdryers. We bought the trailer at eight months old so the graphics are under a year. Will have to try a little peeling.

I thought we'd put a big scary toad!
We are changing the color. Too bad we can't just slap on new vinyl but I guess we would have to clean off all of the residue and put more adhesive.

Using a hair dryer on each section, go slow when pulling off the tape and there shouldn't be any to very little residue left. Not sure what you mean about adding more adhesive. The exterior graphics I've used, have had pre-adhesive on them, just peel the backing off and apply to a clean, dry surface. Good luck.
