Sumas is really close to Chilliwack and the trailer is towed, not flat bedded across. That said, I checked mine the first fill up back in the states, maybe 100 miles from the border.

Correct. Torqued ours when we first hooked up at Bob's Burgers, then at a rest area off I5 about 40 miles further. Checked them periodically throughout our maiden voyage after that but they were fine. Haven't loosened since.

Well get going on that list! Between our place and IowaDave's place, you'll have free camping spots as long as you need them. We'll show you around the beautiful Driftless Region.

Jeff pictures of a blow out on my truck . On freeway . Pulled to side of road . No damage to truck or rim , Tires were Michelin E 's . Also had a flat on trailer 2 years ago with alloy wheels . Had flat fixed and forgot spare , I was home , just getting tires now , No rim problems . My spare is a steel but never used it yet . My tires are 2012 even though trailer is 2013 reason for replacing . . Pat

I went about 400 km before retorquing my wheels. Only two turned at all at 100 lbs, one marginally, and one maybe one flat.

Kinda scary looking Pat, however your rim looks good. Was talking with my tire guy today after getting a free replacement tire(another story) and asked him about rims saying I didn't like the way these HiSpec rims were corroding through the clearcoat. He said they all did that. That was honest. He suggested thinking about powder coating and called the local place: $75/wheel. Might look into that for the next tire replacement as mine look pretty bad.

I'm old Skool. Great rims of yesteryear (Crager Super Spokes or Coke Bottles) rusted when the chrome went south. Alloy wheels blemish when weights are removed for balancing... and they pit. I kinda like my white steel wheels. I'll have them powder coated when it's time. Wanna talk "wheels"? I can tell you about cost to have wheels built for my Scamp. Wanted the same (Corvette Rally Wheels) with a Ford bolt pattern... bucks.

Can only imagine Donna; people can go crazy with Kustom Kars. Not really paying attention before( I think my first alloy wheels were on an '01 Avalon and they're probably not in so great shape by now. My '13 Yukon alloys are spotless though and the tire guy said they were polished aluminum vs. having clearcoat like the HiSpec and all other trailer tires he has seen. I wonder if there are similar rims available as powder coating isn't cheap either.

So far 3 1/2 years rims are still nice Ross and the beach is my favorite . But yours is home all the time . The wheels on the truck are now 14 years . Don't know what they are or who made them . The previous owner had put them on just before I bought truck from him . I like the look of trailer and truck matching . Guess I have to admit like shiny too . The wheels on my bug I have to keep painting so I went with the aluminum . Sorry yours are looking bad . Power coating dies hold up pretty good . Could you paint them ? Trailer getting her new shoes tomorrow . Thankyou for your help ! Pat

How do you remove the central wheel cap so that you can grease Ez-lube hubs?
