Did anyone ever come up with a reason for the beep? After 3 weeks, mine started sometime today. The only flashing button is #8(fault LED) and it flashes on gas, AC, and 12 volt. Vicki said her heating element and control panel were both bad. Anyone else? I will be home in four more days and will have a week to solve this before we go out again.

Dick, ours didn't flash at all - just audible beeps, for about 20 seconds every 2 minutes. That was a faulty sender for the door closed alarm. Replacing the fridge interior light fixed the problem.

Thank you. I did the light disconnect this morning and that cancelled the beeps. Joanne is happy for now.

Good to hear. You can get the light assembly replaced under warranty. Although it's not Escape's issue, you might want to call them and ask for advice on the easiest way to replace the light assembly/who to contact. We lucked out by being at the Bluebonnet Rally at the same time as Reace. He swapped out the light with one from his own fridge!

Mine did it the first night we were in the trailer (at Osoyoos, diagonally across from Reace & Tammy) at 2:00 am. I fooled around with the latch and it hasn't done it again. Didn't have Reace look at it.

My fridge door alarm has beeped a couple of times when the door was left slightly ajar and not latched. It always stopped when the door was closed properly.

Right, but if the door is closed and you still get the alarm.....
That's the symptom on this thread.

Some folks have indeed been able to solve the problem by playing with the latch, or just removing and reinstalling the light assembly. Ours was just bad.

Yes, Robert. Even though I didn't have Reace look at it I did talk to him about it and he mentioned the swap he did with you (at the Blue Bonnet Rally ?) to correct your problem. After having read your posts from your return trip mentioning this problem, it didn't surprise me but I was not happy when ours started beeping. I guess I was fortunate in that the problem sort of solved itself.

I think they had a "bad batch" of these sensors Carl. Either that or it's just a finicky design. But, I'm happy with the cooling of the 2 door.

I'm extremely happy with the cooling after having read the horror stories about the model it replaced. But I have corresponded with another "Deep South" owner who is rather dissatisfied. He says when he turns on the Maxfan, even for a short time and with windows open, the fan is apparently sucking air through the refrigerator because the temperature will go up into the 50s. I haven't tried it because I am not a big fan user. I only use it at night to suck cool air in when it is the "correct" season. I'm planning a trip to N. Georgia or Tennessee in the fall and will probably find out then. I know he has taken the shell off the door and added some foam insulation in places, and has sealed the hole where the wire for the temp sensor enters. But I'm not sure if he has solved his problem yet.
