roof strength

This is really a question for Tammy and Reace.
I watched a guy walking around on the roof of his RV, doing some maintenance. The Toad is parked under a cedar and probably has an inch of leaves on top by now. I can do my best to remove the debris from a ladder with a long broom, but can I get up on the roof and work from there? It would be easier to wash and wax if it will support my weight.

Re: roof strength

I asked about this when I picked up my 17B last June - their advise was to use a piece of board to distribute your weight more evenly (same as they do in the factory). I used a ~1-1//2 foot by 3 ft piece of 1/2" plywood for ~170 lbs and had no problems. I would suggest if your weight barely bends the piece of board supported at each end on a piece of 2x4 (or bricks) you'll be ok.

Thanks. That's the same method I use cleaning my patio roof.

Hi: All... A 6' step ladder is 5' to high for me!!! I prefer having both feet on the ground watching someone else wax the roof. Alf
