Run frig on 12V?

Our refrigerator circuit board is going out. Won't run off shore power and intermittently on propane. Of course, we're on the road and can't get it fixed now. Any downside to running on 12V while the camper is hooked to shore power? Thanks

Providing the model of trailer and particularly the brand and model of the refrigerator would make the question a bit easier to answer. You may get more relevant answers as well.

It's possible the circuit that does not work on 120 nor propane may not work on 12v, can not hurt to try it while hooked up.

12V seems to work fine (knock on wood). For now at least. Battery is maintaining full charge. So don't see a downside.

Good news that it is working. I have this refrigerator and had a similar issue, in my case it would work on 120 but not gas. Turned out to be the eyebrow board.

One thing to watch, if you disconnect or power off the refrigerator it will not return to 12 volt. You have to manually select 12 volt, it will not select it automatically.
