RV Antifreeze will not Flow on Hot side of Taps!
Trying to winterize my trailer and can get RV Antifreeze to flow through cold side of all taps, but not Hot side. Water heater is by passed, when using trailer normally not by passed I had Hot water all day.
Seems like something is preventing fluid to flow on the hot side when water heater is by passed
I'm stumped!

You're sure you turned BOTH valves to bypass position?

Yes, both valve handles are facing each other.

Do you have a winterizing "T"? if so, you've done all that there is to do. Is it sucking antifreeze at all when attempting the hot? Start with the bathroom sink, I believe it's the first in line.

Do you have an external shower, and are both knobs fully off?

It is pulling fluid when I open cold and pressurizes the line, but when I turn to Hot with antifreeze in the line and bottle nothing moves.

Yes both knobs are off and same issue there. Fluid flows on cold, but not hot.
Seems to me the issue is after the water pump given the water pump will pick up fluid from the bottle.
I've ordered an RV Antifreeze pump to see if I can get the fluid to flow through city water connection.
Any check valves after the water pump?

Was your hot water delivery working properly prior to this, and the only thing you really changed was use of the water heater bypass?

It sounds to me like one of the bypass valves is not working properly and you are blocking the flow.

Regarding by pass valves I was thinking the same thing, but how can they go bad.
Early part of September I went on long road trip and everything worked fine, no issues.
Can it be I have some type of vacuum in the hot water lines.
For the time being I have the trailer in heated hangar, but cannot keep it there long term.
What I have tried today;
Added more antifreeze into lines and same problem exists. Comes out of cold side but when I turn to hot the water pump pressurizers the line and stops. Cannot get antifreeze out of hot taps.
Put anode in water heater and put by pass valves back to normal and was able to get antifreeze into the hot water tank. I did not fill it, when I went to remove the anode, there was a lot of pressure. More than what I thought should be with just the water pump and water heater not running.
Put valves back to bypass and still no go.
I put antifreeze into fresh water tank, water pump would pick up antifreeze, but again nothing will come out on hot side. I didn't think it would work, but at this point I will try almost anything.
Just seems I have a blockage. My trailer needs an enema.
I will send Reace an email tonight and call ETI tomorrow to see if they ran into this before!

Have you ever successfully used the bypass valves in the past, or is this your first go with them?

But hot water WILL flow through the lines right? If not, could it possibly be a plugged Aerator at the sink(s)? Doesn't take much to plug those suckers up...

Plugged aerator causes the pump to stop so you should get no water, hot or cold. No antifreeze either.
Expecting a trip report Donna.

The only things I can think of is either one of the valves, although I can't imagine what could go wrong with one, or a plugged bypass tube, the short piece between the 2 valves.
Can a valve be installed wrong?

I am going with one of the bypass valves is not set properly. The handles should be facing each other on the bypass water line.

Backwards Valve
One of your bypass valves could be installed backwards and work in the normal operation position and not in bypass. On mine the upper valve handle is facing outboard of the trailer the lower valve is facing inboard. If they are both on the same side that could be your problem.

First Time using By Pass Valves.

Unfortunately none of the taps will work so don't think all the aerator's would clog at same time?

I don't think there is a way to install the valve wrong. It's basically a hole that runs in the same direction as the lever. Orientation would make no difference.
Pipes are attached either side of the lever and if the lever runs in the same direction as the pipes, the hole is open. If the lever is at right angles to the pipes, the hole is closed.

Kent, This may be a bit tricky to try, but can you blow backward through a hot water line? Perhaps remove the shower head from the shower hose, open the bathroom sink's hot water tap and open the galley sink's faucet to hot and/or cold, and then try to blow backward through the shower hose line? If the lines are open, and the winterizing valves are in normal working, non-bypass position, what pressure you blow in will try to go either into the water heater tank, which will be stoppered by the check valve and the anode, or then exit out the galley hot water line. With the by-pass valves set for winterizing, then I'm guessing that what you blow into the shower hose should try to escape out the galley faucet cold water line. Does that make any sense at all? You could also try blowing into the shower hose line with the shower faucet hot water tap open and the water heater tank anode removed to see if the air you blow in the shower hose line exits the anode hole of the water heater tank. I guess I'd have to know the results of those tests before knowing what else to suggest trying. It's just a mechanical problem. There's got to be an answer. Best of luck. Dale
