RV Service in Abilene, TX

We're overnighting in Abilene on our way to Quartzsite and Borrego Springs, and apparently need to have the fridge serviced. Can anyone recommend a competent technician, either here or west of here.

What is wrong with the refrigerator?

Not familiar with any RV service centers, but did a search on topic.

Not cooling well enough on gas. I ran the generator last night and brought it back down from 48 to 40. I'm fairly confident the jet and flue probably need to be cleaned. I'm leaving now toward Midland so I will probably stay tonight where I can hookup and do it myself.

Fair warning: near blizzard conditions on I-40 NM -between Moriarity and Tucomcari, today. It might be closed.

Here in New Mexico they think 9-12 inches of snow is a blizzard.

I-40 closed

I-40 is closed in New Mexico from mm 289 to mm 305. So if you are planning to head west across NM, get south as soon as you can and travel on I-10. Most snow we have had here in the 10 years we have been living in northern NM. Actually had to buy a snow shovel yesterday. Haven't needed one before. I can only imagine the nightmare that must exist on either side of the closed area and tractor trailers try to find a place to park until 40 reopens.

Roger that! Twelve inches and counting here in Edgewood, NM. Josie is loving it.

Will that cover handle this much snow?

Wow, schools here would be closed for a month if we ever got that much snow.

Got no phone service since yesterday and internet service came on today but remains spotty. Still snowing out there...won't be putting out to see today - it's blowing like a bandit and my rigging will not stand it. That canopy will, though. Just did some light shoveling -very light snow.

It's gone up to 20°F. No place for old men without gloves. Got a lot of bluebirds here this week who are no doubt wondering what the heck they were thinking when they got here. No doubt they love our birdfeeders.

That would close our schools for a day at the very most! But I would not want to live through your hot humid summers!

I-40 has reopened

I-40 in Eastern NM has reopened. Driving conditions are described as "difficult" pretty much over the entire stretch of I-40 in NM. If you have to cross NM East to West, by all means use I-10. 10 degrees here this morning. We went cross country skiing around our property yesterday afternoon. First time in 10 years we have had enough snow for that.
