Saving Favourite Posts

I looked thru the help file but didn't see an answer. Is there a way to save a post to a favorites folder? I saw the info in the digital thermometer it was very interesting and I wanted to save it to an online folder in my profile. I know I can search for it but then I would have to remember it, I don't want to print it out yet, I suppose I can copy and email it home but I rather have it in one location. Or even saving a link to the topic on my profile so I can view all comments that are posted even after creating the link?

Any ideas?

Sure, first create a folder in your browser's Favorites. Go to the thread you want to bookmark. In the browser toolbar click "add to favorites" and make sure it lands in the folder you just created. Maybe title the folder "EscapeForum."

I have so many items I keep track of... I actually created an Excel Worksheet and paste the URL there. In another column I title the URL something that makes sense to me. The nice part is I can sort it as I wish!

Thanks Donna but actually looking for a solution that tracks favorites on this forum as I use several different computers to view the forum.

Re: Saving Favourite Posts

Try using Evernote to store your favorites. Across all machines and tablets etc. sortable and searchable. Amazing tool. I have used it for many snippets of info for a few years. Free too.

Re: Saving Favourite Posts

I would second Evernote as a useful application. It works cross platform on pc's, macs, iphone, ipad and droid. The information is stored in the cloud so you can access it from any location with an internet connection.

The product has a large following and there is a great deal of helpful postings on using the product. A case in point, on a recent trip to Wyoming I was going to be without internet connection, in such a case Evernote will not work. I had most of my trip planning in Evernote so I had to find a solution. The answer proposed by Evernote was to purchase the Premium version for one month, cost was $5. The Premium version allows you to store data on your local device beside keeping it in the cloud. Once my use was over I reverted back to the free version.

Re: Saving Favourite Posts

I have used Xmarks for a few years now, and it syncs the bookmarks on all my computers, in all the browsers I use as well. Highly recommended as well.
