No. I used a high quality reinforced 3/8" hose to handle the hot water flow without deforming and having the connectors blow off. This is what it looks like and is available at hardware stores or McMaster Carr. (High-Pressure 3-A Sanitary Clear PVC Tubing)

. You would need two of each to take care of the original shower hose on each end then the entension hose as well.
