The quick start instructions refer to the website for detailed guide. Couldn't find anything. Phoned weboost, on Sunday no less , and they said they'd send me a new USB power plug. That's great customer service but I'm leaving for Osoyoss before it'd arrive here so it's being sent to Kelowna where I can pick it up after the meet.

So, the question for those that know these things, would it be possible to use a basic 12volt cigarette lighter USB outlet to power the cradle?

Ron
The adapter that comes with the Sleek is 5.5V / 2 Amps. Most cigarette lighter socket USB adapters only supply 5.0V / 1.2 Amps or so. Yes, you can 'probably' power the cradle with one of these, but the cradle won't be getting all the power it's designed to get.

Excellent, thanks, hadn't seen that info. I have both 1 & 2 amp USB outlets so that's not a problem. I want to try it out sooner than later to confirm that the cradle part is actually OK.

Ron

I think if it powers up you're fine Ron. Have no idea if the boost is affected when the cradle isn't getting 5.5 Volts.
