That is the vent line from the grey tank. The "black hose" is just a protective cover for the actual vent hose. It goes between the vent stub off the grey tank in the bottom cabinet of the drawer stack, up through the wardrobe and microwave cabinet, to the roof vent.
If you are getting smells, then it is likely you have a leak in the vent hose. I was getting the same thing and traced it to a bad connection in the bottom cabinet. Since the warm air from the grey tank tends to rise, it could be anywhere - just trace the line looking for possible leak spots until you find it.
ps. I had to pop that "black hose" off the vent hose to be able to trace the leak in the vent - the black hose will hide where the leak is. In my case, the leak was where the vent hose connected to the vent stub but the black hose piped it up into the wardrobe in the space between the black hose and the vent hose. Think pipe inside a pipe.
