¿ Source for gooseneck reading light?
Can anyone tell me where I can buy a gooseneck, wall-mounted, reading-light, like the one in the picture below?
I met an escape owner who had a set of four, one in each corner of his 5.0. Unfortunately, his source disappeared. These lights are called EURO Chart Lights. They originally came with a Halogen lamp which had a parabolic mirror reflector. He replaced it with an LED MRP-16 bulb rated 2 watts @ 12 v. (There is a similar one called a SeaDog Chart Light but that one has a pokey toggle-switch that does not look as nice as the rocker-switch.) It can be used as a brightly focused reading light, or be directed at a nearby wall or ceiling (like a sconce) which will reflect a soft, relaxing glow. This light may now be available with LED bulbs.
In addition to looking classy, they are less damaging, and less likely to get damaged, when one bumps one's head into them.
If you know where to get these (or something very similar for $40 - $70, please, please, let me know.
(I will try to post the picture below.)

Rick,
Thanks for posting the link.
The reviewers of that chart light were disappointed with the "delicate" switch.
I am still hoping to find the same light pictured above. Maybe someone else has one, or something very similar.

Also do a search for Gustafson 12v lighting.. They may have something you are looking for.

Thanks for the replies.
Thank you Rick and Steve for taking the time to research and post the links.
The closest matches to what I had seen are the Binnacle and Xenon Euro Lights. I expect that they would be just as good for reading by.
Here is a link to the one I saw: http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/607430193/Euro_Design_Chart_Light.html?s=p
The two advantages of the light I am searching for are that that they:
1. Have rounded instead of sharp edges--important around the bed and over the table. Also, they look nicer (Euro style).
2. The rocker switch is integral to the base rather than protruding--therfore, less likely to get snagged or damaged, and also more decorative.
The above link takes you to Alibaba, an international business network that helps suppliers find wholesale buyers and visa versa. Hoja, the supplier, will sell these lights (that are TiN plated for corrosion resistance) including the halogen bulbs for $10 each!, plus shipping from China. Thing is, you need to buy 50 at a time. I would take four. Now I only need about 16 other people to join me . I have tried to contact the supplier through the Alibaba website, to ask if there is a retailer in the USA. (I found a store that sells them in the UK but the shipping would be prohibitive.) We will see if I get a response from Hoja.
I wish I could get them through Amazon or West Marine etc.
Cheers

Well, organizing a "Group Buy" may be beyond what you want to do, but if so, I'm in for 2...

Shipping from UK
Don't give up on UK shipping. I order bicycle clothing and accessories from there all the time and it is really inexpensive shipping. Sometimes the credit card fees for a foreign exchange are more than the shipping. Items are coming via the post office and I believe the origin is British Postal.

I got my Grand Aero mirrors from the UK, saving quite a bit, even with shipping. The box was about 2' x 1' x 1', although not that heavy. Shipping was 17.50 BP which converts to 27.80 Can. at the moment.
Went UK Post and was delivered by Canada Post.
