RADIO DVD option

Does anyone know where such an animal resides in the radio or, better yet, how to get the front off?
Thanks!

i am pretty sure I was told that my 19 due in June would have a Jensen. Is that a different model?

The "Touch" model radio has been replaced by the "Jensen" model sometime in 2013.

Absolutely. Minnie has a "Touch Audio VD-301", distributed by Lippert. Jensen is an unrelated company which has an extensive range of mobile audio/video products, from their "heavy duty" division. The televisions and radio in my motorhome are Jensens; they work fine and I've had no problem with them, but perhaps other brands would survive as well, and some would certainly be preferable in features or performance.

We picked up our 5.0 end of August 2013 so it must have been replaced after that. It was used for 3 weeks in August and 2 days in January and then it died. Powers up but no sound, no ejecting of cd, and no response from any other feature. Glad to hear it's been replaced. Doesn't help me, but at least new owners won't have to put up with this piece of crap! :-)

Complaining will not fix the problem but it will make you feel better. Have you contacted Lippert to make a claim under the warranty?

Actually, I don't normally go straight for the "claim on warranty" action, preferring instead to work with the manufacturer that installed the item - in this case, Escape. Reace has kindly offered to give everything the once over before we move to the warranty action.
Sorry you found my complaints offensive.

Even without escalating to a warranty claim, some manufacturers (or distributors, in the case of Lippert for this radio) are quite helpful with information (such as the questions about how to reset it or get the front off). They should know more about the product than the company that installed it in a trailer, and it only takes an e-mail or phone call to find out. Just a suggestion...

Exactly, I always go the manufacturer before the trailer company because in most cases that is who the trailer company refers you to. Only later if no satisfaction do I then try the trailer company, who, for the sake of goodwill, may help me. When my lock failed on my new Escape, Fastec, the lock maker replaced the lock. It was nice to know that ETI may have done the same, but first I went to the proverbial "horse's mouth"!

Thanks, Brian. There's a difference between "making a claim under warranty" and asking for advice. I appreciate your comments.

Our "touch Radio" died a few years after purchasing our trailer. As it was installed by ETI, it left a rather large hole in the cabinet facing. As newer units are much smaller, I asked ETI if I could get buy a small cabinet door panel, then had my hubby cut an opening in the door panel to fit our new stereo. Mounted over the old opening, it even looks more custom!

Sometimes those fancy Bluetooth radios can "get you". I will be sitting in a chair outside my trailer & the radio answers phone. I end up fumbling around trying to switch the audio back to the phone.

Hello Everyone,
I'm wanting to retro fit a radio in my 17. I like knobs for volume and digital readout for knob tuning. Any recommendations? Blew tooth and incoming signal hook ups would be nice too ….
Thanks … Tom
