I'm not sure, but I believe our 17' didn't have a lip in the front of the cupboard - in the 5 & 21 there is a lip in the bottom cupboard on the galley side, I think the photo shows the 'lip' not sure it would work the same without it.

Yes there is a lip on the galley side but on the street side, no lip in the bottom cabinet storage areas, but 2 of the 3 on the street side do have open tops for taller items.

This is the cupboard in question. I don't see how the dividers would help. I've got bungees that I will use, threaded through cupboard and drawer handles.

How about an "L" shaped piece of ABS plastic you could fasten to the bottom or back side of the cabinet with a small lip (1/2 -3/4 inch) at the front?

Anything that would provide just a bit of a lip would definitely help from things sliding over, and pushing on the door.
