Stove problem

Hi All, we are on the road in Tennessee and somewhere in Ohio we hit a good solid pot hole, the ones that you don’see until your right on top of them. Anyways the left rear burner of the stove/oven was apart and sitting on the bottom of the stove top. I put it back together and it works, but it is not tight or solid like the other two. And today it is apart again. Seems to me there should be a set screw some where but darned if I can find where it goes. Can’t see one on the other two either. But something has to hold them together. Any guidance or I or ideas, before I try to find an RV place.

Hi: jake 930... I'm having trouble with our stove at home. I just looked at the display and thought I don't have to put in the casserole just yet as it's only ten to four. That 350 on the display was the temp in the oven!!! I think I'll have another Martini. Alf

We had a similar issue after driving a particularly bad washboard dirt road. One of the stove burners came loose from its support. The culprit was a small (almost tiny) "bolt" style screw. (The tip is blunt, not tapered like a real screw and the threads are fine, not coarse like a sheet metal screw.)

Fortunately the remaining burners gave me a clue as to what was missing. I was able to contact the stove manufacturer who shipped out a replacement. But my local Ace hardware also had a similar bolt which worked. Unfortunately I am not near my trailer so I can't take any photos. From memory, it was less than one-half inch long and slightly less than one-eighth inch in diameter.

Your best bet is to isolate the matching part in an intact burner and bring it to the best hardware store in town.
