anyone know what model surge protector that ETI sells for $350 CDN?

we have the older model of this

Surge Guard 30A Portable with LCD Display | Technology Research, LLC

but reading some poor reviews of it (failing, and poor customer support) on Amazon.com make me quite nervous.

Escape installs the Progressive Industries model- 30 amp. It costs about the same if you purchase it yourself, so in retrospect the install is free.

But a published list might quickly turn into an unfair "places to avoid" list, when the electrical issues there were actually a one off, or caused by issues which no longer exist. You might very well have the EMS kick in one time at a particular campground, and the next time have no issues at all. That's the value of the EMS - it handles whatever the conditions are at the time.
You definitely have a point. And I concur with that possibility..If it happened to me, I would (circumstances permitting) try to find out if it was a rare occurrence or faulty equipment...
Thanks for your point of view.
