Problem with this is it is a 7" spread on holes. I believe the current bath faucet is 4".

I would like something like this if it had a bigger base to cover the stock holes. I guess you could get a 3 to 1 cover plate. But for all I know the neck could be to long and not hit the sink altogether.

This looks like a very nice replacement, though does not address the biggest issue I have with the existing one, and that it does not rise enough for my liking so I can more easily get my mitts underneath. If the sink was not so shallow, it would not be an issue.

Remember with a tap like this you have to allow space for the hose to retract, and you would see it hanging below the sink. You also would need a bracket to hold it while showering.

In nearly 5 years I've never taken a shower (in the trailer) and now I never will, but this thread sent me out there checking the bathroom spigot for leaks and cracks. Phew! None found. Good to know about these things and especially the preventative remedies you guys have found.

Try it Myron. Works great. Especially when you see how gross some of the campground showers can be. We don't use it frequently, but it's a nice option.

We use the Escape shower regularly. In our trip to Chilliwack last August we used the shower 14 out of 21 days on the road and there were three of us. The 21 shower seems especially luxurious compared to the 19 although my Pavarotti sized torso was very doable in the 19. I just could not develop full volume because my arms were restricted somewhat.
Paints a picture don’t it? Shield your eyes or turn away.

If you wanted to just change faucets to one that looks better made this one from Amazon might do. I may end up trying it as Karen is eying the faucet I installed in the trailer. She says it would be a good replacement for the old one in the rental.

A must for us to have our bathroom if needed! Rarely if camp showers are clean will use those . Really like our own facilities, reason for trailer . Don't even care for hotels any more . The things we have seen ! Pat

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder Ken, because I think the stock white one looks better than the one in the link.

True, but one that is broken is not real useful.
I looked on a few sites and did not see any complaints about it breaking so it at least has that going for it. And I said looks better made, not looks better.
The moen facet though with the added on diverter and metal hose running up the wall looks a bit steampunk. Maybe I should look around for some gears, leather, rivets and welders googles and fix up the rest of the trailer

Get a better more flexible hose and the next one probably won't break . Pat

What I have now will tear the sink off the wall before the diverter comes loose. Or the hose will rip apart. If I had changed the stiff hose to a flexible one before the part broke we would not have this thread going .

Oh and I found a good hose guide for now. Ace hardware had them. They are called Gardner Bender Kwik clips.
They stick on the wall and can be opened if needed and do not look to bad. the 3/4 ones I picked up are part # GKK-1575.
If you want 1/2 inch ones they are GKK-1550.

Wasn't too keen on the bath facet at first and wouldn't of been happy if ours cracked but that stiff hose had to go and so far have been lucky with orignal facet . Need to take care of outside shower hose now before something like that happens to it . Those stiff hoses put too much strain on the fittings . Didn't think that would happen but it makes sense . Here's Hoping you get it fixed easy and fast . Pat

Please excuse my ignorance but what the HELL is " Steampunk"
If I was, looking for a good faucet , I would look at a Chicago faucet
May not be trendy but they are top quality.

I had the original hose end break, the plastic part that screws onto the faucet. Took some looking but found a metal 40" hose from Delta. All the hoses I could find locally were too long, the original was 40". Comes in white of silver.

Can't believe I put up with the stock POS faucet and shower hose- especially after having to replace the leaking big sibling in the kitchen!

After trying another RV faucet it was evident the diverter setup was just as crappy. This is a Moen Hilliard and a SmarterFresh diverter valve from Amazon. If you can wait you can get that at Wish.com for $4 vs. $15. The 40" Delta hose from Amazon or Home Depot for $17(thx, Padlin). The diverter comes with a 22mx24m for most common sinks. The Moen didn't need it as it has a less common male thread on the spout.

The valve is 304 stainless and very smooth operation.
