Thule T2Pro bike rack

Does anyone have one of these racks on an Escape 5TA. If so how much clearance to the spare tire and how has it been working out.

I use one on my 21.... not sure if the spare tire offset is the same. Mine will not fold up enough to latch up out of the way. Not a problem for me though.

Saw this on Etrailer and using Prius. Is it really 1.25" vs. 2"? In any event Etrailer sez:

The manufacturer (Thule) does not recommend that any Thule hitch bike rack be used on a trailer or any other towed vehicle. So you will not want to use the Thule Hitch Bike Rack, #TH956, on your travel trailer.

Would recommend you use an RV rated bike rack. Don’t think the one you are looking at has this rating. Not a lot around but suggest you look to Swagman as they have a couple with the rating.

Also, I see this is $599 at Etrailer. I know they aren't necessarily the best price, yet in that ballpark you can get the 1UP rack which is arguably the best rack, especially for a trailer.

I was given my T2 by a friend, it came with a class A he purchased used. I gave away my “RV” rated Swagman because the Tule was so much better built and engineered. It bolts to your receiver so there is zero up and down play.
