Tire cover size

Our Escape isn't parked at our house or I would go out and measure the tires again. For a 2012 Escape 19', does anyone know if I should order tire covers to fit 24-26" tires or 27-29" tires? I measured yesterday and they were about 26-27" in diameter - I thought that measurement would be good enough - apparently not! I'm looking at these:
Amazon.com: Camco 45322 Vinyl Wheel & Tire Protector, 2 pack (27"-29" Diameter, Arctic White): Automotive
Thanks!

I would err on the larger size (45322 instead of 45321) because a too-big cover is just sloppy while a too-small cover won't go on.

Another approach is to use a more precise measurement, from the tire manufacturer's specs. If the 2012 19' used the currently specified ST205/75R15 tire size, that should be 27.1"... so again I would go with the larger size.

You can certainly pad a too large tire cover. But one that fits just looks better. There's been plenty of posts on the CasitaForum where folks talk about the tire cover developing diaper droop Now, just try to get that visual out of your brain for the rest of the day.

Oh wait! I thought you were talking about the spare tire cover. NEVER MIND...

Thanks! I ordered the larger size and will let you know how they fit. In our beach climate they're a must!

Had a cover for my pop-up spare tire. When I took it off to change a tire, the wheel had mold growing all over it. A victim of our Northwest wet weather, I quit with the cover.

I don't think size matters much. They are to keep the sun off the tires.
Guy I know just cut appropriate size and shape pieces of plywood and leaned them against the tires on his camper.
