Dave,
Look inside your front driver side access door with the front leg controls. If your 2008 is built like my 2012 you will find the water supply line to the Thetford toilet making a U-turn. That's were I installed my valve.

Thanks! I checked our 2008 and it is exactly the same...we'll be picking up a valve this week!

This valve looks like a good idea. Having never worked with this tubing, how does one cut it?

Thanks

Dave

Any sharp knife will cut Pex pipe. I do have a set of cutters that make it easier, but not necessary for a couple cuts.

OK, we got our toilet shut-off valve in!
Took a bit of time to saw through the PEX with a serrated knife and then a GOOD bit of hand and arm strength to get the ends of the PEX onto the valve. Not a whole lot of room to work but better than working around the toilet! Seems to work fine...it certainly came in handy in our previous trailer so we were glad to have a way to do the same thing in the Escape.
Thanks for the photos!

Harbor Freight has a PEX cutter. Not the best in the world, no commercial business would want to use it, but good enough for the few cuts a TT person would want to do. Cheap!

PVC Pipe Cutter w/ Ratchet Action

If I remember right, the cut-off valve to the toilet is an OPTION on the build sheet... get it, get it, get it!

If the 5TA is like the Classic 5.0 then it is a pretty easy DIY. The access to the line is in the driver's side hatch.
